Is an AI girlfriend safe? The short checklist

• Install only from the official Google Play page. For Nakhre the package name is com.nakhre.app.
• Read the privacy policy before you chat.
• Treat the chat as something that could be read by the company that runs it.
• Never share ID, bank, card or login details.
• Never pay a person who contacts you in the name of an app.
• Set a recharge limit before you start.
• Keep it for adults. Under 18 should not use it.

Privacy: who can see your chat

A chat with an app is not a private diary. Here is what is worth knowing.

The company runs the service. Your messages go to the company's servers so that the AI can write a reply. Whoever runs the app can, in principle, store and see what you write. That is true of almost any chat app.

The AI model is a separate service. To write each reply, an app typically sends your message to an AI service. Ask whether the app tells you this.

Policies differ. A good app explains what it keeps, for how long and how you can delete it. Nakhre's current position is on the privacy page, and the policy is being updated. Read it and, if you have a question, write to us through the contact page.

You have some control. You can delete your account or data by emailing the support email on the contact page. On Telegram, bot chats are not end-to-end encrypted, so treat them the same way. The Telegram AI girlfriend page explains the privacy settings that help.

She remembers what you tell her. Because each girl remembers what you tell her and brings it up later, do not share passwords, OTPs, or bank or Aadhaar details in a chat. See the privacy page for our current position.

A practical rule. Do not type anything you would not want shared. If you would be upset if a stranger read it, do not send it.

What never to share

Whatever app you use, do not share:

• Aadhaar, PAN, passport or driving licence details
• bank account, card, UPI PIN or net banking details
• passwords, OTPs or verification codes
• your home address, workplace or daily routine in detail
• private photos or videos of yourself
• private details about other people, such as family members, colleagues or an ex

A real AI girlfriend app never needs these. If a "girl" asks for them, it is a scam, not a character. Likewise, if a chat asks you to click a link to "verify" or to "unlock" something, stop.

Scams to avoid

AI girlfriend is a popular search, so scammers use it. These are the common patterns. The baat karne wala app guide, written in Hinglish, covers ten of them in more detail.

Fake "AI girlfriend WhatsApp numbers"

Pages and ads post phone numbers and say "chat with an AI girlfriend on WhatsApp". Some numbers belong to scammers. Some belong to people who sell or share your number. Nakhre does not offer a WhatsApp number. If you see a "Nakhre WhatsApp number", it is not from us.

A typical pattern:

1. You message a number you found online.
2. A "girl" replies warmly and quickly.
3. She asks you to "verify" yourself, "recharge" or pay for a "private chat".
4. If you pay, there is always another reason to pay again.
5. In some cases the chat moves to a video call. The call is recorded and you are threatened.
6. Your number goes on a list, and spam and scam calls follow.

Fake apps and APK files

Some websites offer a downloadable APK with words like "premium unlocked" or "free diamonds". A file from a random website can carry malware that reads your messages or OTPs. Download only from the official Google Play page. Do not install apps from links in forwarded messages.

Fake social accounts and bots

Copycat accounts and Telegram bots use an app's name with a slightly different spelling. Check that you reached the official bot through the link on our Telegram AI girlfriend page. Anything else, do not use.

"Real girl" claims

If someone says there is a real woman behind an AI girlfriend, they are lying. If anyone offers to introduce you to a real girl for a fee, treat it as a scam. Real AI companion apps say plainly that the characters are AI.

Payment links in chat

Do not pay through a link that arrives inside a chat. Recharge only through the app's own payment screen.

Blackmail

If someone threatens to share a recording or a photo of you, do not pay. Stop replying, keep screenshots, and report it. See the section below.

Spending: how to stay in control

AI replies cost money to produce, so there is always a way the app pays for itself. On Nakhre you can start free, then pay per second from a wallet. There are no ads and no monthly subscription. That is simple, but you still need a plan.

1. Decide a small amount first. Choose what you can spend without thinking twice.
2. Check your balance now and then. Per-second billing is fair, but it adds up if you chat for hours.
3. Do not recharge when you feel low or impulsive. Late at night, after an argument or when you are lonely are the riskiest times.
4. Use time limits. Decide how long you will chat before you start.
5. Watch for pressure. A real app does not guilt you into paying or invent urgency. If a chat says "recharge now or I will leave", stop.
6. Beware of "free unlimited". Nobody gives unlimited AI for nothing. The cost is somewhere, such as ads or data.

Age: why it is 18+ only

AI girlfriend apps are for adults. Reasons:

• The topics are about adult companionship.
• A one-sided relationship with software is a matter for grown-ups to judge for themselves.
• Payment and data rules assume adult users.

Nakhre asks you to confirm you are 18 or older at signup. The characters are written to stop the chat if a user says they are under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and see a young person using one of these apps, please talk to them. Nothing here is a replacement for parental supervision.

The girls are friendly AI characters, and nobody should treat them as anything else.

Questions to ask about any app

Before you install or pay, ask:

1. Is there a store page with a real developer name?
2. Does it say clearly that the characters are AI?
3. Does it show the price before I pay?
4. Is there a privacy policy and a support contact?
5. Does it ask for anything it does not need, such as contacts, Aadhaar or a card on file?
6. Does it show ads or ask me to share data to unlock features?
7. Does it work in the language I use?

If the answer to any of the first four is no, leave.

If something has gone wrong

• Stop replying. Do not pay, do not click, do not share an OTP.
• Block and report. Block the number or account and report it on the platform.
• If you paid, tell your bank or UPI app straight away. In India, report cyber fraud at cybercrime.gov.in or call the helpline 1930.
• If you are being threatened, do not send money. Save screenshots and report it. Tell a trusted person.
• If it affected your mood, talk to someone you trust. If you feel unsafe or in danger, call 112.
